Madrona and Cescon Barrieu advised on TAESA’s issuance
Madrona Advogados advised the issuer and Cescon Barrieu advised the underwriters on the 17th issuance of non-convertible debentures, for public offering by Transmissora Aliança de Energia Elétrica – TAESA, pursuant to CVM 160.
The offering was intermediated by Banco Santander (Brasil), Banco Votorantim and UBS Brasil Corretora de Câmbio, Títulos e Valores Mobiliários. The proceeds from the offering, which totaled BRL 650 million, will be used exclusively for investment and/or reimbursement related to certain projects operated by the Issuer.
The offering required the expertise of the advisors to align the financial and strategic interests of the issuer and the underwriters, in adherence to the proposed schedule. In addition, the debentures were relied on tax incentives under the terms of Law 12.431/2011, with the Project characterized as a priority for the sector by the MME and with classified as Green Bonds.
