Madrona Fialho reinforces its full-service stand with new partners

Madrona Fialho Advogados announced in the end of 2023, the entry of two partners in the areas of insurance, reinsurance and private pension, and asset management and investment funds. The arrival of partners Ronaldo Guimarães Gallo (pictured left) and André De Vita (pictured right) aims at strengthening the firm’s operations in two sectors that have gained a lot of relevance in the Brazilian market and leverage the growth of the national economy.

Ronaldo Guimarães Gallo has held the position of Federal Prosecutor of the Federal Attorney General’s Office (AGU) for almost 20 years. Since the end of 2016, he has performed his duties providing legal advice and consultancy to the Superintendence of Private Insurance (Susep), in which he was also chief attorney prosecutor. He has also had important roles as national deputy chief prosecutor of the Brazilian Social-Security Administration (INSS), national chief prosecutor of the National Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute (IPHAN), and federal attorney general.
Holding a bachelor’s degree from São Carlos Law School, Ronaldo Gallo has specialist degrees in Constitutional Law and in Public Administration, in addition to an Masters’ degree in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo – PUC/SP. Another highlight in his academic career are stints as a professor at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), Fipecafi/IPCOM, Faculdade Unyleya and courses taught by OAB-SP and OAB-Campinas.

André De Vita is a new partner in advisory to clients on issues related to asset management activities, structuring of investment funds, as well as in private equity and venture capital deals. De Vita holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and a postgraduate degree in Economics from the São Paulo School of Economics of Fundação Getúlio Vargas. Prior to joining the firm, De Vita served as head of Legal for Latin America at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, and as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at private equity manager Endurance Capital Partners.
