Madruga BTW announces new practice area

Madruga BTW has announced its environmental law and sustainability practice area, led by partner Ana Belotto (pictured). The move comes alongside the concern of governments and companies to implement robust measures to prevent and remediate environmental damage with legal certainty.

The firm has observed the growing sophistication of national and international mechanisms to combat climate change, such as the increase in the trading of carbon credits, both in regulated and voluntary markets, and the growth in the regulation of businesses aligned with the sustainability agenda.

The area helps clients adapt to the standards and processes of this new reality. Among the services offered are support in risk mitigation, crisis management and the development of strategies to ensure safe compliance with environmental standards, whether national or international.
