Maneira Advogados expands team in São Paulo

Victor Kampel (pictured), a lawyer with experience in tax and mergers and acquisitions, has just joined the team at Maneira Advogados, as partner in the areas of tax and corporate law, in São Paulo.

Kampel brings with him extensive experience in the tax area with international and national clients, large multinationals, financial institutions and local investors listed or not on the Stock Exchange and government agencies.

With a focus on Mergers and Acquisitions, Kampel previously worked for other leading law firms in Brazil and New York (USA), drafting international tax planning structures between Brazil and the United States for high net worth individuals and companies.

Kampel joins Maneira Advogados at a time of major changes in legislation in Brazil. “Tax law is law on the move. Especially this year, we’ve had substantial tax changes, such as the approval of the tax reform, which introduced us to CBS and IBS. Maneira Advogados’ partners have contributed to the parliamentary discussions and to the entities representing taxpayers. The firm has taken a leading role in this decisive and transformative moment. I come to Maneira with the aim of joining this great team, bringing my experience in tax consultancy,” he says.
