Manuel Núñez Poblete appointed Senior Counsel in Guerrero Olivos’ Public Law Practice

Guerrero Olivos has announced the incorporation of lawyer, academic, and legal scholar Manuel Núñez Poblete (pictured) as senior counsel in its Public Law and Regulated Markets practice, reinforcing the firm’s position as a leading advisor in Chile’s most complex and highly regulated sectors.

Núñez, who holds a PhD in Law from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV), brings decades of experience in constitutional law, public litigation, and regulatory frameworks. His arrival is expected to enhance the team’s analytical precision and strategic capabilities, particularly in sectors such as electricity, telecommunications, sanitation, urban development, and public procurement.

Guerrero Olivos’ Public Law team is widely recognized for its depth of specialization and nuanced understanding of Chile’s regulatory landscape. Núñez’s addition is seen as a strategic move to reinforce Guerrero Olivos’ ability to provide clients with sophisticated, sector-specific legal counsel, particularly in an environment marked by dynamic regulatory shifts and increasing complexity.

A seasoned academic and legal practitioner, Núñez serves as a professor at PUCV and lectures in postgraduate programs both in Chile and abroad. His public service trajectory includes a term as Alternate Member of the Constitutional Court (2022–2023) and a six-year tenure on the Board of Directors of the National Institute for Human Rights (2010–2016).

Author of over 90 legal publications, Núñez is also an active member of the Chilean Association of Constitutional Law and the Chilean chapter of the International Society of Public Law.
