Marcelo Tostes Advogados announced the arrival of Gabriel Abujamra Nascimento and Paula Beatriz Loureiro Pires to head the Tax area of the firm

Marcelo Tostes Advogados (MTA) has announced the arrival of two new partners, together with its entire team, aiming to expand its Tax Area in the national legal market: Gabriel Abujamra Nascimento (pictured left) and Paula Beatriz Loureiro Pires (pictured right).

Gabriel Nascimento and Paula Pires have almost two decades of experience advising clients in the search for solutions related to Litigation, Consultancy and Tax planning.
The new partners come with a robust team, capable of meeting demands of any size and complexity, in addition to interacting and providing support to all other MTA areas.

The new partners will have the challenge of leading the expansion of an already significant area in the firm, combining a mature and customized service to domestic and foreign clients in tax demands.

The two new partners and their team will also actively participate in the firm’s M&A operations, structuring of joint ventures, implementation of tax reorganizations, negotiation and structuring of corporate and financial transactions, tax and succession planning, and customs litigation and consultancy.

Gabriel Nascimento: as National Tax Partner, he will lead the Tax team in the São Paulo office. A graduate from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, he is a specialist in Tax Law, with a focus on complex judicial and administrative litigation and strategic solutions. He has worked as a lawyer and partner in law firms such as Mattos Engelberg Echenique Advogados; Mattos Muriel Kestener Advogados; Aidar SBZ Advogados and Felsberg e Associados.

Paula Beatriz Loureiro Pires: as Tax National Partner, she will lead the Tax team in the São Paulo office, together with Gabriel Nascimento. Graduated from the Law School of the University of São Paulo, she is a specialist in Tax Law and Politics and International Relations, focusing on consulting, legal auditing, administrative litigation and tax, corporate and succession planning.

Previously she coordinated tax and corporate teams in large São Paulo law firms, especially Mattos Engelberg Echenique Advogados and Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados.
