Marcelo Tostes expands its strategic operations with two new partners
Marcelo Tostes Advogados announced Fernando Medici Jr. and Antônio Monteiro as new partners of the Arbitration and Special Litigation areas
Marcelo Tostes Advogados has expanded its portfolio of services and announced the arrival of partners Fernando Medici Jr.(pictured left) and Antônio Monteiro (pictured right).
They will have the challenge of coordinating the expansion and meeting the high demand of projects involving the Arbitration and Special Litigation area (arbitration, mediation, negotiation and dispute boards).
Besides Fernando Medici Jr. and Antônio Monteiro, the new team for the Arbitration and Special Litigation area will include lawyers Eduardo Coelho and Hueverton Morais, the latter having worked for Marcelo Tostes Advogados for eight years.
The restructuring of the area and the entry of the partners are part of the series of strategic moves that Marcelo Tostes Advogados has been carrying out since 2020 in order to be even more competitive in the face of new business opportunities.
Fernando Medici Jr. joins Marcelo Tostes Advogados as Head of the Arbitration and Special Litigation area, having worked as a partner at renowned law firms such as Mattos Muriel Kestener Advogados and, more recently, at his own firm, Muriel Medici Franco Advogados.
A graduate in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC-SP) and LL.M. in Contractual Law from Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa – INESPER/IBMEC, Fernando is a member of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee and has served as secretary of the Arbitration Committee of OAB/SP. With over 25 years of experience, his professional practice also involves several years of law practice at Pinheiro Neto Advogados (1997 to 2005), where he was able to develop the Arbitration area.
Antônio Henrique Monteiro joins the firm as Partner of the Arbitration and Special Litigation area, adding to the MTA more than 20 years of consolidated experience in domestic and international arbitrations, and complex litigation, with emphasis on Infrastructure, Corporate and Commercial Disputes, Joint Ventures and Project Financing.
Consulting and administration of Construction Contracts (EPC, supplies, take-or-pay, concessions and PPP). Antônio Monteiro is a lawyer graduated in Law by the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo – PUC-SP (2003), with a specialization course in Mediation and Arbitration at FGV-SP (2004); LL.M in Corporate Law by IBMEC/SP – INSPER/SP (2007/2008); training in LGPD (General Law of Data Protection) by LEC – Legal, Ethics, Compliance (2020/2021) and CPC-PD certification (in progress). Recognized by the award CHAMBERS AND PARTNERS/Brazil – Dispute Resolution: Arbitration (Up and Coming) in the years 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
