Martínez, Quintero, Mendoza, González, Laguado & De La Rosa advises on Colombia’s major solar park
Martínez, Quintero, Mendoza, González, Laguado & De La Rosa has guided Bancolombia, Banco de Bogotá, Banco de Occidente, and Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional in the negotiation, signing, and closing of a financing deal worth up to COP 1,019,000,000,000 for the construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of Parque Solar Puerta de Oro, set to become Colombia’s largest solar park.
The cross-border transaction, involving jurisdictions in Colombia and Spain, began in February 2024 and concluded in March 2025. This significant investment in renewable energy infrastructure marks a milestone in Colombia’s commitment to sustainable development and clean energy production.
The legal team was led by partner Camilo Martínez (pictured), with key contributions from partner Juan Manuel de La Rosa, director Sebastián Celis, and associate Felipe Buitrago. Cuatrecasas Colombia and Cuatrecasas Spain were also involved in the transaction, highlighting the international scope of the project.
