Marval acts in acquisition of the operation of Oil Test by Grupo AmSpec

Marval O’Farrell Mairal has acted as advisor in Argentina to Grupo AmSpec in the acquisition of the operation of Oil Test International in 13 Latin American countries.

Thanks to this acquisition, completed on 31 March, Grupo AmSpec expands its operations as a provider of testing, inspection and certification services for raw materials in Argentina, Panama, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay and Uruguay.

In the remaining jurisdictions, the firms of the Lex Mundi network advised the AmSpec Group: Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega in Panama; C.R. & F. Rojas in Bolivia; Claro y Cia in Chile; Brigard Urrutia in Colombia; Facio & Caña in Costa Rica; Pérez, Bustamante & Ponce in Ecuador; Romero Pineda & Asociados in El Salvador; Mayora & Mayora in Guatemala; Gufa Law in Honduras; Alvarado y Asociados in Nicaragua; Peroni Sosa Tellechea Burt & Narvaja in Paraguay, and Guyer & Regules in Uruguay. KPMG advised the sellers.

Steven Dorry acted as in-house counsel to Grupo AmSpec, while Juan Domingo Salerno acted as in-house counsel to Oil Test Internacional.
