Marval acts in sale of Fresenius Medical Care’s dialysis clinic business

Marval O’Farrell Mairal has acted as advisor to Fresenius Medical Care on the sale of the dialysis clinics business, manufacturing plant in Pilar and portfolio of drugs and medical products in Argentina. Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton acted as international advisor to Fresenius Medical Care.

Fresenius Medical Care, a company dedicated to renal therapies, has sold 100% of its business in Argentina to Well Being, a company belonging to Grupo Olmos, including 76 dialysis clinics, a manufacturing plant in Pilar and its portfolio of speciality medicines and medical products in the country. Grupo Olmos will also take over the marketing of Fresenius’ portfolio of products for dialysis treatments and services.

Grupo Olmos was advised in-house by Marcelo Carbone and Viviana Cescut; while Celia Cleim and Ceres Tenenbaum acted as in-house advisors to Fresenius Medical Care.

Marval’s team was led by partner Hernán Slemenson (pictured), together with partner Martin J. Mosteirin and associates Carolina Fiuza, Camila Leone and Juan Pablo Máspero.

Cleary Gottlieb’s team included Chantal E. Kordula, María (Kiki) Manzur, Roberto Mandetta Netto and Josefina Griot.
