Marval assists Diagnóstico Maipú in the acquisition of Labmedicina
Marval O’Farrell Mairal has advised Diagnóstico Maipú por Imágenes on the purchase of Laboratorios de Medicina S.A.
Argentinean law firm, Marval O’Farrell Mairal, has assisted Diagnóstico Maipú por Imágenes S.A., a subsidiary of Diagnósticos Da América, in its purchase and sale agreement with Laboratorio de Medicina S. A. (Labmedicina) for the acquisition by Diagnóstico Maipú of 100% of the capital and votes of Labmedicina.
This transaction, closed on 18 November, involved the participation of Salaberren y López Sansón as advisor to Labmedicina’s shareholders.
Labmedicina is a local benchmark in the field of healthcare and in the provision of care to patients, biochemists, clinics and diagnostic centres, and supplies as a reference laboratory the high complexity demand of more than 500 laboratories throughout the country and dialysis centres, as well as patients of social security and prepaid medicine companies.
Diagnóstico Maipú is also a local reference in the health sector, operating as a diagnostic imaging centre of low, medium and high complexity, and as a clinical analysis laboratory, providing services in 11 areas in which more than 1100 people work, including administrative, technical, biochemical and medical staff.
Salbarren y López Sansón’s team consisted of partners Rafael Salaberren Dupont, Juan Manuel Campos Alvarez and Mariano Monserrat, and associate Diego D’Odorico.
Diagnóstico Maipú’s in-house team was comprised by director Fabio Ferreira Cunha, superintendent Marcio Alves Sanjar and manager Stephanie Wagner.
Marval’s team was led by partners Pablo Andrés Artagaveytia (pictured left) and María Macarena García Mirri (pictured top right), together with associate María Soledad Noodt Molins (pictured bottom right).
