Marval O’Farrell Mairal has advised JP Morgan on an additional credit facility guaranteed by Export Development Canada in favour of Telecom Argentina
Argentinean law firm, Marval O’Farrell Mairal, has assisted JP Morgan, as the initial bank, in a line of credit guaranteed by Canada’s official export credit agency, Export Development Canada (EDC), to Telecom Argentina, for an amount of up to $23,367,200 US dollars.
The loan will be used to acquire equipment that will further enhance the technology and communications infrastructure by financing the company’s investment plan, with a focus on expanding and enhancing fixed and mobile networks, with 4G in all provincial capitals, major cities in Argentina and more than 1,800 towns, and increased broadband coverage and capacity.
Telecom Argentina was advised locally by EGFA Abogados, through partner Ximena Digón and associates Delfina Lynch.
Marval’s team was led by partner Sergio Tálamo (pictured), with support from associate Ezequiel Guerrero.
