Argentina’s Marval incorporates Rivera & Asociados
Argentinian law firm Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal’s has incorporated Rivera & Asociados, the local law firm headed by Julio César Rivera and Julio César Rivera Jr, into its litigation and arbitration department.

Julio César Rivera is a widely renowned lawyer, with more than 45 years’ experience in the dispute resolutions arena, he specialises in international and domestic commercial arbitration, complex litigation, corporate law, banking law and private law. Rivera has been recognized by foreign publications as a leading lawyer in Dispute Resolution (Chambers & Partners and Legal 500) and has also been ranked as a leader arbitrator in Argentina by Chambers & Partners. He was appointed an associate judge of the Argentine Supreme Court in 2018.
Julio César Rivera Jr. specialises in complex commercial litigations, international and domestic commercial arbitration, insolvency law and constitutional law. He has been recognised by Chambers & Partners Latin America as one of Argentina’s leading lawyers in the area of dispute resolution.
With the inclusion of Rivera & Asociados, Marval will continue to strengthen its prowess in the litigation and arbitration department, consolidating its position as the leading team in Argentina and the region, the firm said in a statement.
The Rivera & Asociados team, which includes eight lawyers, will join the department chaired by Ricardo Ostrower, who has been ranked as Band 1 in Chambers & Partners’ dispute resolution area.
