Mattos Filho advises ThornTree as lead investor on Alice

Mattos Filho represented ThornTree Capital Partners as lead investor in the $33 million funding round for Alice, the Brazilian health tech company

Alice is a B2C healthcare platform that combines digital primary healthcare services with health insurance. The round also included investment from Kaszek Ventures, Canary, Maya Capital and Endeavour Catalyst.

The startup launched in June 2020 and previously raised a $16 million funding round in August 2020 following the authorization of telemedicine given the COVID-19 pandemic. The platform now has 1,100 customers across Brazil.

Alice was represented by Wilson Sonsini and Ulhoa Canto.
