Mattos Filho and Cescon Barrieu on Mirante Energética issuance
Mattos Filho advised the issuer and Cescon Barrieu advised the underwriters on the 2nd issuance of nonconvertible, unsecured debentures, in a single series, by Mirante Energética, for the public distribution, without prior analysis under the CVM 160, in the total amount of BRL 450 million.
The debentures were guaranteed by Energia Sustentável Fundo de Investimento em Participações Multiestratégia (FIP). UBS Brasil Corretora de Câmbio, Títulos e Valores Mobiliários and Banco Votorantim acted as underwriters.
The issuer is part of the Brookfield Renewable Partners group and operates as a producer and marketer of renewable energy for the Seridó Project. Brookfield is one of the world’s largest investors in renewable energy and climate transition assets, with a generation capacity of approximately 24,000 megawatts. They are present on five continents, where they manage a diversified portfolio of sustainable solutions and hydro, wind, solar and distributed energy.
The offering represents yet another step-in raising funds for the Issuer and contributes to the development of its activities in the Seridó Project and in the producer of renewable energy.
