Mattos Filho and Veirano act on renegotiation of JV with Bradesco Group

Mattos Filho Advogados advised C&A on the renegotiation of the financial services joint venture with Grupo Bradesco, represented by Veirano Advogados

Mattos Filho advised C&A on the renegotiation of its financial services joint venture with Grupo Bradesco, represented by Veirano Advogados. Through the renegotiation, C&A bought back the right to offer financial services and products to its clients, which were exclusive to Grupo Bradesco, in order to launch its own payment solution C&A Pay.

The value of the transaction was R$415 million.

As of December 2021, there will be a 2-year transition period, when both solutions (C&A Cards and other products, and C&A Pay) will coexist according to specific rules agreed upon by the parties and specified in the amendment to the partnership agreement.
