Mattos Filho appoints new partner
Brazilian law firm Mattos Filho has recruited Paula Indalecio as a new partner to its criminal law and white-collar crime practice in São Paulo.
Paula (pictured) is a criminal law attorney with more than 20 years’ experience, and holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, where she also served as a volunteer teaching assistant in criminal law.
She holds a graduate degree in white-collar crime from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas Law School and completed a postgraduate programin economic and EU criminal law at the University of Coimbra, in partnership with the Brazilian Institute of Criminal Sciences, in 2005.
Paula also has an LLM in capital and financial markets law from IBMEC São Paulo (now Insper).
She is a counsellor to the Brazilian Movement for the Defence of the Legal Profession, where she has served as vice-chair of the criminal affairs commission.
Fluent in English, since 2017 Paula has participated in the annual discussion meetings of the Global Forum on Corporate Criminal Liability, organized annually in Europe by Cambridge Forums, having become a member of the steering committee and panelist of the event in 2019.
