Mattos Filho assists Supervia in the TAC signed with the MP-RJ

Mattos Filho Advogados assisted the concessionaire Supervia in the preparation of a Conduct Adjustment Agreement (TAC) signed with the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Signed on Tuesday, January 18, the TAC concerns accessibility works for 104 railway stations in the State of Rio de Janeiro, as well as for trains for which the company is responsible.
This development represents the most significant step in Rio’s train system, adapting to technical accessibility requirements that will allow people with disabilities to access the entire train network. SuperVia will now have 12 years to complete the construction work.
“Mattos Filho has been negotiating this TAC since 2019, when a review of the 104 stations began. Given the concessionaire’s financial difficulties and the complex nature of the rail system, this agreement is extremely relevant from a legal standpoint. The process not only required the involvement of Supervia, but also of lawyers, technical experts and the State Public Prosecutor’s Office,” noted partner Ricardo Junqueira (pictured), who worked on the case.
The firm also relied on associates Luiza de Mattos and Carolina Deluiz.
