Mayora & Mayora opens new office in Honduras
Central American law firm Mayora & Mayora expands its services once again by opening an office in Roatán, Honduras. With this opening, the firm, established more than 55 years ago, now has five offices in the region: Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras (Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula and Roatán).
The office will be headed by lawyer and notary Odín Guillén Leiva (pictured), partner of the firm, and associate lawyer Roy Millares, a graduate of the UNAH who holds an LLM from Queen Mary University, London, in Corporate and Commercial Law, has been appointed as head of the office.
This decision was taken due to the increase of work in the region, as Odín Guillén comments: “A year and a half ago we started to receive corporate, civil, tax, labour and notarial matters from important businessmen from the department of Islas de la Bahía, Honduras”.
“We consider that the possibility of dealing with complex legal matters and important economic interests, which Mayora & Mayora offers, responds naturally to the legitimate need of the type of investment existing and latent in the paradisiacal “Islands” of the Honduran Caribbean”, the firm emphasises in a press release.
