Mendoza assists in electric bus concessions in Bogota
Mendoza Abogados has assisted Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional (FDN) in the legal due diligence process of two electric bus concessions for the city of Bogotá.
The Société de Promotion et de Participation pour la Coopération Economique (Proparco), together with FDN, financed the acquisition of 406 electric buses, thanks to which the city will significantly reduce its CO2 and particulate matter emissions.
In addition, the depot where the electric fleet is kept is the largest of its kind in Latin America, providing maintenance, repair and charging for the buses.
The consultancy involved the structuring, negotiation and closing of a liquidity facility whose resources will be used in case of any deficiency in the payment of the Senior Debt or to cover any deficiency in the payment of operating expenses. With this transaction, Mendoza now has more than 5 electric bus financings in the city of Bogotá.
