Mexico’s Fegamo y Vasaf and Mani de Ita merge
Mexican law firms Fegamo y Vasaf and Mani de Ita Abogados have merged, both of which are based in the northern city of Monterrey, and where Fegamo y Vasaf is one of the city’s largest law firms, with more than 20 professionals.
“We are greatly enthused by this merger as we are committed to offering multi-disciplinary solutions of the highest quality to our clients,” Juan Vázquez Silveyra (pictured), founding partner of Fegamo y Vasaf, said in a press release.
“This merger strengthens our tax practice and allows us to offer services in integral planning, counselling, consultancy and prevention and handling of controversies in taxation matters, particularly at this time when clients expect creative and effective solutions that adapt to the new reality in business,” Vázquez Silveyra added.
Fegamo y Vasaf specialises in corporate, M&A, banking and finance, real estate, infrastructure and natural resources, as well as in tax law, foreign trade, labour law, social security, migration, intellectual property, mercantile litigation and conflict resolution.
The firm’s clients are in the manufacturing, automotive, real estate, entertainment and financial sectors, among others.
For its part, law firm Mani de Ita specialises in legal, tax and corporate advice.
Gonzalo Mani de Ita, founder and managing partner of Mani de Ita Abogados, has more than 25 years’ experience in tax law, and had previously held the position of head partner in tax law at Deloitte in Mexico. He is a graduate of the Universidad Anáhuac and has an LLM in tax law from the Universidad Panamericana, and an LLM in corporate law from the Universidad de Monterrey.
