Mexico’s Mijares advises Altum Capital on CKD issuance
Mexican law firm Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes has acted as counsel to private equity firm Altum Capital as sponsor and law firm Legorreta, Gómez y Asociados as trustee, manager and co-investor for the issuance of certificates of capital development (CKDs) in two tranches for 1.81 billion pesos ($92 million).
CKDs are issued by a trusteeship and support investment into projects or acquisitions, and provide flexibility and new options for portfolio diversification for qualified and institutional investors in Mexico, according to information from the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV).
CKDs’ performance is linked to their underlying assets.
Actinver Casa de Bolsa acted as structuring manager and intermediate, while Investia Asesores Financieros acted as financial adviser to Legorreta, Gómez y Asociados.
Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes’s team was led by partner Manuel Echave (pictured), with associates José Pellón and Carlos Ahumada.
