MKGV advises Lorene Urban Mining on strategic investment
MKGV Advogados advised Lorene Urban Mining on the acquisition of an equity stake in Circular Brain Plataforma Tecnológica de Economia Circular, a pioneering startup specializing in e-waste recycling and circular economy solutions.
The transaction involved a BRL 20 million investment aimed at accelerating Circular Brain’s expansion across Latin America. MKGV provided full legal counsel to the buyer throughout the transaction, which included negotiating complex convertible instruments, cross-border agreements with multiple investors, and implementing guarantees.
The strategic partnership between Lorene and Circular Brain is expected to double Circular Brain’s annual revenue and strengthen its position in the circular economy ecosystem by scaling its reverse logistics platform.
The deal was led by partners Miriam Machado Kleissl (pictured left) and Mirella Kaufman (pictured right), who played a central role in structuring and coordinating all legal aspects of the transaction.
