Monteiro Rusu announces new partners to reinforce the firm’s practices

Monteiro, Rusu, Cameirão e Bercht Advogados announced Thaisa Menzato and Marina Lipener Fenerich as partners of the Capital Markets and Banking Law area and Patricia Eid to reinforce the M&A practice

The new partners of Monteiro, Rusu, Cameirão e Bercht Advogados, Thaisa Menzato (pictured left) and Marina Lipener Fenerich (pictured centre), were already part of the firm’s team of lawyers since its foundation and have been promoted to partners of the Capital Markets and Banking Law area. Patricia Eid (pictured right) arrives to reinforce the Mergers and Acquisitions area.

Thaisa has vast experience in Capital Markets, Investment Funds, Banking, Corporate Law, and Contracts. She has a degree in Law from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, specialized in Civil Procedural Law from Universidade Pontifícia Católica (PUC/SP) and is currently taking a specialization course in Finance from Saint Paul Business School.

Marina has extensive experience in Capital Markets, Securitization, Banking and Financing Law. She holds a law degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and a LLM in Financial and Capital Markets Law from Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa (INSPER). She also attended the Continued Education Program in Banking Law, Financial Market, and Banking Activity at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV/SP).

Patrícia has experience in large M&A transactions, notably in Private Equity and Venture Capital, including angel investments, seed money, Series A and B, advising both investors and investees on the drafting of various contracts (equity investment agreement, convertible loan agreement, among others). She also has vast experience in assisting startups, from their establishment and definition of business model to investment rounds.

She has a law degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica – PUC/SP, LL.M. in Finance and Business from King’s College London (London, England), LL.M. in Corporate Law from Insper (São Paulo/SP) and specialization in Private Equity and Venture Capital from Insper (São Paulo/SP). She is also a member of the Brazilian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (ABVCAP) and of the Microenterprise and Startup Committee of the São Paulo Lawyers Institute (IASP).
