MPA Trade Law announces new partner

The law firm MPA Trade Law, which specializes in international trade and trade defense, has announced the arrival of Rafaela Noman (pictured) as a partner.

With more than 20 years’ experience in foreign trade, trade defense and international negotiations, Rafaela joins the firm after serving as director of the Trade Defense Department (Decom) of the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC).

The lawyer has a degree in International Relations from the University of Brasilia (UnB), Law from the University Center of Brasilia (UniCEUB) and a master’s degree in economics and foreign trade from the University of Brasilia (UnB).

In addition to Rafaela’s arrival, MPA Trade Law announced the hiring of Lucas Jimenez as a senior lawyer. A graduate of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and with an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, Lucas returns to Brazil after a stint in Switzerland, where he worked as a lawyer at the World Trade Organization, and in Belgium, where he worked at Van Bael & Bellis.
