Multiple firms act on Softys’ acquisition of the Ontex subsidiary
Machado Meyer and Latham & Watkins advised Softys on the acquisition of the total share capital of Falcon Distribuição Armazenamento e Transporte, a company engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of baby diapers and adult incontinence products, Ontex Group NV’s subsidiary in Brazil, which was advised by Cleary Gottlieb.
The transaction value was BRL 670.900.000,00. The closing, which is subject to customary conditions, including merger clearance from the Brazilian antitrust authority, is expected to occur in the first half of 2025.
