MVGA announces two new managing partners

Madeira, Valentim & Gallardo Advogados (MVGA) has announced the promotion of Fernanda Gomes de Souza (pictured left) and Gabriel Ferreira Labatut Simões (pictured right) to the position of managing partners – two professionals who have been building their careers within the firm and now take on strategic positions leading key areas of the operation.

Founded in 2011 by Victor Madeira and Geraldo Valentim, the firm gained even more strength with the promotion of Danilo Gallardo to the position of managing partner in 2012 to work in the firm’s real estate and land areas. In 2019, the firm was strengthened by the appointment of Vinicius Nogueira Franco as coordinating partner responsible for the corporate, finance and capital markets areas.

Today, with six managing partners in charge of the operation, Madeira, Valentim & Gallardo maintains its profile as a legal boutique, without giving up the structure and capacity needed to meet large demands in the tax, litigation, corporate, construction, arbitration, land, real estate, financial contracts and capital markets areas with excellence.

About the new managing partners
Fernanda Gomes de Souza, a lawyer with a solid track record in the tax area who has worked extensively with large national and multinational companies, is the first woman to join MVGA’s group of managing partners. With over 20 years’ experience in tax consultancy and litigation, Fernanda has been with the firm since 2012 and has played a leading role in key moments in the firm’s history, from winning important accounts to the technical and structural growth of the team. Her practice is recognized for its combination of technical excellence and sensitivity in client relations. As head of the tax litigation department, Fernanda reinforces one of the firm’s central pillars: the culture of partnership and in-depth service, in which knowledge of the client’s business is just as important as legal expertise.

Lawyer Gabriel Simões has also joined the firm’s group of managing partners. With international experience and in-depth knowledge of the infrastructure sector, Gabriel holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of California – Berkeley, and has over 13 years’ experience in disputes related to complex projects and strategic negotiations in the highway, airport, port, mining, sanitation, energy and international trade sectors. Since joining the firm in 2017, he has become a key player in consolidating the advisory and dispute resolution practice in arbitration, maintaining a balance between technical rigor and business vision. His new position reinforces the firm’s commitment to client loyalty, multidisciplinary service and sustainable growth, based on synergy between areas and a focus on complete solutions.
