New Argentinean law firm opens its doors
A new law firm, MHR | Martinez de Hoz & Rueda, is open for business in Buenos Aires. The brand new operation was launched by number of lawyers who left Pérez Alati, Grondona, Benites, Arntsen & Martínez de Hoz (h).
The firm is set to take advantage of their partners differentiated market position in Argentina and further improve it to capture potential opportunities in the country’s economic recovery, said the announcement issued by MHR.
“Our clients should expect to find at MHR the same group of lawyers that have been assisting them during the past several years on corporate, energy, M&As, finance, dispute resolution, tax and regulatory matters. The core team remains unchanged. We renew our strong commitment to improving client satisfaction and operational efficiency, and to remain forefront of competitiveness and innovation” explains Jose A. Martínez de Hoz(h), founding partner of the new firm.
The new firm will be staffed by partners José Martínez de Hoz(h), Pablo Rueda, P. Martín Lepiane, Fernando S. Zoppi, Maximiliano Batista, José Martínez de Hoz (nieto), Juan Cruz Azzarri, Tomás Lanardonne and Francisco A. Amallo. They will be joined by their regular team of associates and staff.
In an email to The Latin American Lawyer, their former law firm (which will revert to its original brand Perez Alati, Grondona, Benites & Arntsen) confirmed the departures. The firm added it has taken steps to bulk up several practice areas, including hiring Francisco Romano to front the energy team. Romano has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry and is the former regional managing counsel of Chevron.
