With Perez now at the firm, Mattos Filho’s partner count currently stands at 141.

Fábio Perez holds a law degree from São Paulo’s Pontifical Catholic University and a postgraduate degree in Financial and Capital Markets Law from Insper. Perez’s expertise covers authorization procedures with the Brazilian Central Bank, including the incorporation of regulated institutions, changes in ownership, and corporate reorganizations. He also works on M&A transactions and securities offerings, structuring financial products, foreign exchange, and international capital regulations, and participates in domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including bilateral and syndicated financing, trade finance, debt restructurings, and international bond issuances.
