Nicholson y Cano advises IFC on $10m Agrofértil loan
Argentinian law firm Nicholson y Cano has advised on the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) first loan in Latin America as part of its COVID-19 aid program, granted to Agrofértil, a Paraguayan agriculture and livestock supplier.
The loan to Agrofértil, totalling $10 million, forms part of a $8 billion package the IFC has made available to clients to face the adverse economic effects of the pandemic, and is the first loan granted in the region.
The loan will provide liquidity to the company to allow it to continue operating.
Nicholson y Cano advised on the loan with a team led by Mariano A. Fabrizio (pictured), with Gonzalo Rivas Orozco.
Paraguayan law firm Vouga Abogados acted as local counsel.
