Norton Rose Fulbright assists MTG in Gamaga acquisition

Norton Rose Fulbright’s global team has assisted MTG, and its blockchain-focused company Kongregate, in the acquisition of Chilean law firm Gamaga. Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (PPU) advised locally on the transaction.

The transaction will enable Kongregate to accelerate its strategy and leverage the acquired development capabilities to advance its blockchain projects.

Founded in 2009, Gamaga is an independent video game development company in Chile. The company has experience working with established brands such as Sony, Div3rsion and iEntertainment Network on several successful games.

Norton Rose Fulbright’s team was led by Frankfurt partner Nils Rahlf (pictured) and included partner Alberta Yan (New York), attorney Malte Ingwersen (Hamburg) and senior associate Ryan L. Waggoner (New York).

PPU’s team consisted of partner Federico Grebe, supported by partner Guillermo Infante, and associates Macarena Fuchs, Aref Cosma, Ariel Castillo.
