ONTIER adds partner in Peru
Global law firm ONTIER has added Eduardo Rojas as a partner to its tax practice in Lima
In addition to joining the firm as a tax partner, Eduardo Rojas (pictured) will head the firm’s agribusiness practice.
Rojas is an active member of the Peruvian Institute of Tax Law, and is considered a reference in his field by publications such as Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.
He holds a law degree from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, and has taken specialised courses at ESAN University and Georgetown University in the US.
He is currently pursuing an MBA from the Universidad del Pacífico.
Rojas´ incorporation into the firm is part of ONTIER’s aim to strengthen its support to Peruvian clients at this particularly complicated time, striving for sectorial specialisation and the incorporation of new talent aligned with the firm’s innovative vision, the firm said in a statement.
The addition of Rojas strengthens the firm’s tax practice, and which includes services such as tax sponsorship, tax compliance, international tax, digital tax, transfer pricing and customs consultancy.
Rojas has 13 years’ experience advising transnational and local companies, mainly in the mining, oil, energy, consumer, banking and technology sectors, and he has acted as counsel to a number of agribusiness projects.
Prior to joining ONTIER, he held the positions of senior associate at CMS Grau and Deloitte & Touche, as well as a consultant at Ernst & Young.
ONTIER has a significant presence in Latin America, with offices in Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
The law firm also has offices in Italy, Spain, the UK and the US.
