Payet, Rey, Cauvi, Pérez Abogados has advised Gold Fields La Cima in the restructuring of a US$150 million loan

 

Payet, Rey, Cauvi, Pérez Abogados advised Gold Fields La Cima in the restructuring of a $150 million dollars loan granted by Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP) and Scotiabank Perú to finance the operations of the Cerro Corona mine.

Gold Fields La Cima is the local subsidiary of South African miner Gold Fields, with exploration and production operations in seven countries in South America, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. Since 2008, the company has been operating at Cerro Corona, which is considered one of the five most important copper and gold operations in Peru. The mine is located in the Cajamarca region in northern Peru.

Payet’s team was led by partner José Cúneo and associate Samuel Véliz.
