Pellerano drives Uber to expansion in the Dominican Republic

Uber returned to Pellerano & Herrera for counsel in the launch of its UberMOTO service in the Dominican Republic. 

The transportation network company launched in the country in 2015, instructing Pellerano for due diligence to set up business, the initial phase of expansion and also in related disputes.

UberMOTO is a private transport service for passengers on motorcycles, under the framework of a new law that regulates transportation in the Dominican Republic. The country becomes the first Latin American market to welcome UberMOTO, which will operate in the capital Santo Domingo and in the city of Santiago.

Partner Luis Rafael Pellerano led the team which acted for Uber in both its launch and expansion in the country.
