Peru’s Rodrigo, Elias & Medrano Abogados appoints three new partners

Peruvian law firm Rodrigo, Elias & Medrano Abogados has promoted Raúl Hidalgo, Alejandro Manayalle, and Jorge Trelles to the partnership.

The three lawyers have been part of the firm since they were interns. Hidalgo focuses on tax, Manayalle on public services regulation and Trelles regularly advises on capital markets, M&A and project finance. 

Raúl Hidalgo earned his law degree with honours from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and was a Luis Carlos Rodrigo Mazuré fellow. He is a member of the Peruvian Institute of Tax Law.

Alejandro Manayalle is also a law graduate and a Luis Carlos Rodrigo Mazuré fellow from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (2005). He finished an LLM at Columbia Law School and spent a year as an international attorney at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton working with the arbitration team with special focus on investor-state disputes. 

Jorge Trelles holds his law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú  and has a master’s in International Business Law with focus on law and accounting from The London School of Economics and Political Science (2009). He was also a foreign associate with Allen & Overy in New York, participating in transactions in several different countries in Latin America.
