Pessoa & Pessoa names Simony Braga labour partner
Pessoa & Pessoa Advogados has announced the arrival of Simony Braga as a new partner in its labour area. Based in Recife, the lawyer joins the firm’s team serving companies across different sectors and regions of the country.
With 22 years of experience, Braga works in corporate labour law, with a focus on strategic litigation, employment consulting and union relations. Her background includes work at law firms and in-house legal departments, as well as leading labour planning and strategies related to liability management, conflict prevention, corporate policy and negotiations during strike movements. She also has experience in collective labour law and labour compliance, having worked on matters involving the industrial, technology, healthcare, infrastructure and education sectors.
At Pessoa & Pessoa, Braga’s work will aim to bring labour analysis closer to business decisions, weighing legal aspects alongside the effects of corporate strategies on operations and management. Braga is a researcher at the University of São Paulo (GETRAB-USP) and holds a postgraduate degree from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) in Spain. She has also been part of the Coordination of the North-Northeast Legal Committee of the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF), of national committees of the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), and of the Management Committee of the United Nations Global Compact.
