Pinheiro Guimarães and BMA act on the acquisition of Grendene
Pinheiro Guimarães advised the buyer, BMA assisted the seller Radar Gestora de Recursos on the transaction for the sale of its 50.1% stake in Grendene Global Brands Limited (GGB), a joint venture between Radar and Grendene, to Grendene itself.
The joint venture was created in 2021 with the main purpose of selling Grendene products in markets outside Brazil through its own operation.
The acquisition price of Radar’s stake in GGB was approximately US$10.5 million, with an upfront payment of approximately US$6.5 million.
Pinheiro Guimarães advised Grendene and relied on partners Marcelo Lamy Rego (pictured left), Bernardo Bulhões and lawyer Thaise Flores.
Linklaters also advised the same partie.
BMA relied on partners Monique Mavignier (pictured right) and Carlo Sivieri de Assis Rocha, associate Julia Carniel Rosa.
Macfarlanes LLP also advised Radar.
