Pinheiro Neto acts for Icatu Seguros in Caixa share purchase

Pinheiro Neto Advogados has acted for Brazilian insurance company Icatu Seguros on its acquisition of an additional 24.5 per cent stake in Caixa Capitalização, becoming the holder of 49 per cent of its shares.

Eduardo H Paoliello Junior of Pinheiro NetoThe transaction is combined with the acquisition by Icatu Group of the portfolio of capitalisation bonds of Sul América Group.

The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

Pinheiro Neto’s team was led by partner Eduardo Paoliello (pictured), and also featured associates Carlos Eduardo Azevedo, Rodrigo Moreira, Mariana Magalhães Lobato and Guilherme Amorim.

Sul América was advised by law firm Barbosa Mussnich Aragão, with a team led by partner Henrique Vargas Beloch.
