Pinheiro Neto advises Carrefour Brasil on Super Nosso partnership
Carrefour Group has instructed Brazilian law firm Pinheiro Neto as counsel on its partnership with local supermarket chain Super Nosso Group
Carrefour and local supermarket chain Super Nosso Group have entered into a commercial partnership in which the latter company has agreed to operate 16 Carrefour Bairro supermarkets in Belo Horizonte, and which will gradually convert to the Super Nosso brand without any changes to the capital structure of the company.
Through this innovative partnership, Grupo Carrefour Brasil intends to capture several operational improvements and synergies resulting in a significant increase in sales and profitability of the 16 stores, the law firm said.
The valie of the deal to set up the new partnership was not diclosed.
The deal follows an agreement signed last year between the two companies, in which Carrefour Brasil handed over the management of all of its 17 supermarkets in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais to Super Nosso.
Pinheiro Neto’s team was led by partners Joamir Müller Romiti Alves (pictured) and Giancarlo Matarazzo, with associates Tiago Eler Silva, Priscila Stela Mariano da Silva, Camila Otani Nishi and Otavio Bastos Moherdaui, with legal assistant Maria Beatriz Junqueira Oliveira de Barros.
