Pinheiro Neto advises Itaúsa on Liquigás acquisition
Pinheiro Neto Advogados has steered Itaúsa holding in the purchase of stakeholding in Copagaz, the buyer of Liquigás
Pinheiro Neto assisted Itaú Holding on the operation aimed at the acquisition of Liquigás Distribuidora S.A. in the offering Group formed by Copagaz Distribuidora de Gás S.A., Itaúsa – Investimentos Itaú S.A., and Nacional Gás Butano Distribuidora Ltda.
Petrobras was the seller of Liquigás, and the estimated value of the operation was $773,5 million.
Itaúsa’s stake in the transaction will be through an investment of approximately BRL1.23 billion in Copagaz, subject to adjustments. It will hold about 49% of Copagaz total and voting capital.
Pinheiro Neto team was led by Energy partner Marcello Lobo (pictured), and involved associates Flavia Lodi, Mariana Pires Monteiro, Caio Vianna, Rafael Toledo, and Marcos Proença.
Cescon Barrieu acted as legal counsel to Copagaz with a team formed by partners Maria Cristina Cescon, Darkson Galvão and Daniel Laudísio, and associate Leandro Corrêa.
