Pinheiro Neto advises Mubadala on Petrobras refinery purchase
The sale of RLAM to Mubadala was approved for US$ 1.65 billion
Several areas of Pinheiro Neto Advogados have advised MC Brazil Downstream Participações S.A. (Mubadala Group) in the purchase of Refinaria Landulpho Alves (RLAM), installed in Bahia.
Mubadala, an investment fund from the Arab Emirates, will take over the unit that produces oil products for US$ 1.65 billion.
If approved by regulators, this will be the first privatization of a refinery in a group of eight put up for sale by the company. The sale includes associated logistics assets.
The operation is subject to compliance with conditions precedent, such as approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade).
