Pinheiro Neto advises on acquisition of NU Pagamentos by Spin Pay
Pinheiro Neto Advogados advised Spin Pay Serviços de Pagamentos Ltda and NU Pagamentos S.A
Spin Pay, a Brazilian fintech company that supports retailers that accept payments through the country’s Pix instant payment system, has been fully acquired by NU PAGAMENTOS S.A. – Instituição de Pagamentos Ltda.
The acquisition aims to help Nubank boost its e-commerce payment solutions.
The acquisition of Spin Pay also sheds light on Nubank’s efforts to expand its service offerings.
Pinheiro Neto Advogados had partner Leonardo Baptista Rodrigues da Cruz (pictured left), associates Ana Cristina do Val Fausto and Marcelo Junqueira de Mello, and legal assistants Thaís Mayumi Nagura and Maria Clara Veras Pinto.
The firm also represented Nu Pagamentos, with a team formed by partner José Luiz Homem de Mello (pictured left) and associates Alessandra Carolina Rossi Martins, Giovana Treiger Grupenmacher, Isabela Piovesan Dall Oglio, legal assistant Felipe Kenji Tutida Takehara and Catharina Fávero Mirandola.
