Pinheiro Neto and Machado Meyer advised on car rental companies merge
Pinheiro Neto and Machado Meyer has counselled Localiza and Unidas on a $2.7b merger
Localiza Rent a Car SA and Unidas S.A., the two most significant car rental business in Brazil, closed a merger for an estimated value of almost $2.7 billion. Localiza will hold 76,9% of the stake of the resulting company. After the merge, they will have a fleet of 470,000 vehicles.
Pinheiro Neto assisted Localiza Rent a Car S.A. with partners Carlos Alberto Moreira Lima Jr. and Henrique Silva Gordo Lang, associates Carlos Eduardo Gazineu de Azevedo, Cauê Rezende Myanaki, Luiz Fernando Lockmann e Souza and Frederico A. Menescal C. Rocha.
Machado Meyer advised Unidas S.A. with partners Bruna Marrara Martinez, Clarissa Freitas, Diana Pacifico Henne, Eliana Helena de Gregório Ambrósio Chimenti, Fernando Tonanni, Maria Eugênia Novis, Mauro Cesar Leschziner, Tito Amaral de Andrade, Ana Bátia Glenk Ferreira and lawyer Clarissa Torrente.
