Pinheiro Neto assists in creation of cryptocurrency exchange

Brazilian law firm Pinheiro Neto has advised a group of partners of local private equity firm XP Investimentos on the creation of XDEX, a cryptocurrency exchange.

XDEXXDEX allows authenticated users to create, manage and trade all kinds of digital assets over a specialised, virtual private network. The platform, launched this month in Brazil, will initially only negotiate Bitcoin and Ethereum. 

XP Investimentos is one of Brazil’s largest investment firms, with more than 32 billion reais ($32.4 billion) in assets under management.

Pinheiro Neto’s team comprised partner Bruno Balduccini, associates Carla Carvalheiro Arantes, Alessandra Carolina Rossi Martins and Ana Lidia Salvatore Schulz Frehse.
