Pinheiro Neto drives Cosan’s corporate restructuring
Brazilian law firm Pinheiro Neto has advised on the corporate restructuring of energy and logistics company Cosan Group, which implied the merger of Cosan Logística and Cosan Limited into Cosan S.A.
Cosan’s portfolio of companies includes Raízen, Compass Gás e Energia, Moove and Rumo.
The corporate restructuring involved the merger of companies under common control (Cosan Limited and Cosan Logística) into Cosan for the purpose of consolidating Cosan as the group’s sole holding company, the law firm said.
Such restructuring is inteded to simplify Cosan Group’s corporate structure, unify and consolidate the current companies’ free floats, increase stock liquidity and unlock value within the Cosan Group’s portfolio.
