Pinheiro Neto hires nine new partners

Pinheiro Neto Advogados has admitted nine new partners and two boards, effective January 1, 2022

Pinheiro Neto Advogados announced nine associates have been elected to the partnership and two additional associates have been promoted to the role of advisors. With well-established and successful careers, they will strengthen the practice in areas such as Aviation, Agribusiness, Corporate M&A, Real Estate and Construction Law, Fintech, Criminal and Criminal Procedure, Banking Regulation and Financial Transactions, Consumer Law, and Tax.

New partners

Renato Henrique Caumo – Tax: acts in Pinheiro Neto’s tax practice focusing on tax disputes in the administrative and judicial spheres, with 18 years of experience at the firm. He holds a B.A. from the University of São Paulo (USP); an M.A. in Taxation from Georgetown University (USA); and an M.A. from the University of Brasília (UnB).

Lucas Pinto Simão – Corporate and Commercial Litigation | Consumer Law: acts in corporate, commercial and consumer litigation and advisory matters, with 17 years of experience in the office. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP); a Master’s degree in Contractual Law from Insper; and a Master’s degree in Diffuse and Collective Rights from PUC-SP.

Caroline Guazzelli Queiroz Gomes – Aviation | Derivatives | Banking and Financial Transactions: practices in aviation law advising financial institutions and airlines, and also assists clients in financial transactions and aspects of banking regulation in Brazil, with 16 years of experience in the office. She has a degree from the Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP); a Master in Financial and Capital Markets Law from Insper; and a Master in Banking and Financial Law from Boston University.

Tatiana Mello Guazzelli – Banking and Financial Transactions: concentrates her practice in the financial and cryptoassets sectors, with 16 years of experience in the firm. She advises a wide range of industry players on the full range of financial, corporate, and capital markets transactions, and has extensive experience in related regulatory matters. She has a bachelor’s degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP); a master’s degree in Commercial Law from the University of São Paulo (USP); and a master’s degree in Law from the University of Chicago.

Camila Carvalho Gomes – Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions: specialized in corporate and M&A transactions, with 15 years of experience in the firm. She has a strong track record of success in capital markets transactions, involving public offerings and corporate restructuring of publicly traded companies. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP); and a master’s degree in Law from the University of Chicago.

Fabio Rocha Pinto e Silva – Real Estate and Construction Law | Agribusiness: He has worked in Real Estate and Real Estate Finance Law matters, with 15 years of experience in the office. He has accumulated extensive experience in real estate acquisition, loans and financing structures, transnational investments, leases, public registrations, hotel assets, rural and forest properties. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of São Paulo (USP); a doctorate in Civil Law from Université II – Pantheón-Assas; and a master’s and doctorate in Law from USP.

Thiago José da Silva – Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions | Capital Markets | Corporate and Commercial Litigation: concentrated his practice in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, listed companies and corporate disputes, with 11 years of experience in the firm. He holds a BA from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie; an LL.M. (cum laude) in Commercial Law from Universidade de São Paulo (USP); and an LL.M. in Corporate Governance from Stanford Law School.

Rafael José Lopes Gaspar – Capital Markets | Agribusiness | Banking and Finance Transactions: has extensive experience in banking and capital markets transactions, as well as in regulatory matters, with 15 years of experience in the firm. His practice covers the structuring of domestic and international transactions, with a focus on structured transactions, agribusiness securitization, and debt restructuring. He holds a BA from the Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP); a post-graduate degree (certificate) in Business Administration from Insper; and an MBA from the University of California.

Raphael Palmieri Salomão – Banking and Financial Transactions | Fintech | Infrastructure: advises clients on foreign exchange, payment methods, fintech and banking regulation issues, as well as structured finance transactions, including project and acquisition finance and syndicated loans, with 10 years of experience in the firm. He holds a BA from the University of São Paulo (USP); an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Deusto and the University of Tilburg (Spain/Netherlands); and an LLM in Banking Law from the University of Strasbourg (France).

New Counsels

Priscila Stela Mariano da Silva – Tax: she specializes in international taxation, transfer pricing, tax planning, and taxation of individuals, with 23 years of experience in the company. She has a degree from the University of São Paulo (USP); and a Master in International Tax Law from the Universiteit Leiden.

Lourival Lofrano Júnior – Criminal Law and Criminal Procedures | Compliance and Corporate Crime: a lawyer experienced in litigation and advising on corporate criminal law matters, serving clients from a wide range of industries in investigative and criminal proceedings, with 21 years of experience in the firm. With extensive experience in compliance matters, he works in internal investigations, integrity program reviews, and defenses before the Office of the Comptroller General (CGU). He graduated from the University of São Paulo (USP) and has a post-graduate degree in Economic Criminal Law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and from Coimbra University Law School/IBCCRIM.
