PPO strengthens Tax practice with new partner

PPO Abogados has announced the appointment of José Luis Tufiño (pictured) as a new partner in the firm’s Tax practice, effective 1 July.

José Luis has more than three decades of experience advising clients from various sectors on tax matters, including international and domestic taxation, tax planning and tax litigation, including tax litigation on appeal.

Since 1993, he has taught tax law and economic law at the Universidad Católica Boliviana, the Universidad Privada Boliviana and the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

He was also a founding member of the Instituto Boliviano de Estudios Tributarios and is a member of the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de La Paz (ICALP) and the Colegio Nacional de Abogados de Bolivia (Conalab). Over the years, he has drafted and negotiated several laws and regulations from a tax perspective.

This incorporation brings the number of partners of the firm to 11.
