PPU acts as Chilean counsel on Wesco-Anixter merger
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría has acted as Chilean counsel on the merger between Wesco International and Anixter International, securing the approval of Chile’s merger control authorities.
NYSE-listed Wesco is a leading provider of electrical, industrial, and communications MRO and OEM products, construction materials, and advanced supply chain management and logistics services, while Anixter, which also lists on the NYSE, is a leading global distributor of network and security solutions, electrical and electronic solutions, and utility power solutions.
The merger transaction is valued at $4.5 billion, and due to both companies’ international reach, involved the jurisdictions of Chile, Canada, China, the United States, Mexico, Russia and Turkey, PPU said.
