PPU acts for banks on $580m Cóndor Energía loan
Chilean law firm Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (PPU) has acted for a group of banks on an approximately $580 million financing for a renewable energy portfolio belonging to Cóndor Energía.
The lenders are Caixabank, DNB Bank, KFW Ipex-Bank, Natixis, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, and Société Générale.
PPU’s team was led by partners Marcela Silva (pictured) and Marcelo Armas, with associates Alejandro Espejo, Daniel Parodi, Santiago Mesías and Vera Yacher.
Law firm Shearman and Sterling acted as foreign counsel to the lenders, while Milbank acted as foreign counsel to the borrower and Carey acted as local counsel to the borrower.
