PPU advised Santander Chile on $500 million notes issuance

Philippi, Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría acted as local counsel to Santander Chile on its issuance of $500 million senior fixed-rate notes due 2020.

Banco Santander Chile is the local subsidiary of the Santander Group, the Spanish finance multinational. It has over 500 branches in Chile and is considered the largest bank in the country by loans and deposits.

Barclays Capital, Citigroup Global Markets, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Securities , Merril Lynch and Wells Frago Securities acted as bookrunners and initial purchasers.

Partner Marcelo Armas led the PPU team advising Santander Chile.
